Matthew is a creative producer, writer, director and screen editor working in Australian film and television. He is also experienced as a production manager and assistant director. In 2018, Matthew co-wrote his first feature length and New York set crime thriller screenplay TO LOVE AND MURDER alongside fellow Associate Member of the Australian Writers' Guild, Stephen Baker OAM. He was also associate producer on his first feature film production, THE COLLECTORS, a film by screenwriter-director Alex Munt at Muntmedia, which starred Nicholas Hope, Justin Stewart Cotta, Leo Santangelo and Chloe Coles. Matthew works across a slate of short film projects and recently has become a regular editor for the Nine Entertainment Company in the News Edit department, where he cuts morning infotainment and news content for the Today Show/Weekend Today program. In 2017, he directed and produced the female-centred, LGBT+, German-Australian short film STILLE NACHT which starred Belinda Giblin & Matilda Ridgway with writers Charmaine Bingwa and Meg Ryan, and ACS Silver Award winning cinematographer Meg White. He is currently working in the financing of his next production, which is to be a horror short film by the creators of festival hit ALFRED J HEMLOCK on which he had previously worked in art department.
