A child labours in the shadow of a virtuosic violinist forced into retirement after an accident, her mother. Achieving exceptional talent through dedication and perseverance against the doubt and pressures placed on her by her mother, the child breathes happiness and colour back into the mother’s world. But all that is achieved comes at the cost of the child’s own happiness.
